Mas de Daumas Gassac, Rosé Frizant Extra Brut 2023

Founded in 1974 by Aimé and Véronique Guibert in the heart of the Languedoc, Mas de Daumas Gassac is widely regarded as one of the region’s most pioneering estates. Often dubbed the “Lafite of the Languedoc,” the estate champions organic viticulture, low-intervention winemaking, and a focus on terroir expression across a mosaic of cool, limestone-rich vineyards. Known for both their age-worthy reds and innovative bottlings, Gassac continues to push the boundaries of southern French wine with a deep respect for nature and tradition. Delicately sparkling and bone-dry, this pale salmon-hued rosé is bright and breezy with notes of wild strawberry, redcurrant, and a twist of pink grapefruit. Made from a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon & 35% Mourvèdre, it has hints of rose petal and soft herbs add aromatic lift, while the palate is crisp and refreshing, driven by fine bubbles and racy acidity. Light-bodied and zippy with a gentle mineral edge, it finishes clean and dry. Effortless, elegant, and wonderfully drinkable - summer in a glass.
